Brian FitzGerald
Chairman
Brian FitzGerald joined Altera as chairman in April 2006 after an extensive career in banking including commercial banking, investment banking and private banking. He has worked in Australia, South Africa, Singapore, New York and London.
Most of his career has been spent with Standard Chartered Bank (1977-1991) in various directorial positions, including Managing Director of Standard Chartered Merchant Bank Asia, Executive Vice President of Standard Chartered Bank, New York, Director of International and Corporate Banking, London and Head of Private Banking, London.
More recently, Brian, had chief executive responsibilities with Riggs Bank (2000-2005), then Chairman and CEO of Liberty Syndicates, subsidiary of Liberty Mutual of Boston till 2012.
